In this issue we are starting a series on GaNEsha mantras. We are beginning with the aShTa avatAra mUrthi vidhAnam. These are beautifully elaborated in detail in many puranic and tantric works.
This issue covers vakratuNDa GanEshA. vakratuNDA has siddhi and buddhi has his consorts and hence the japa krama, avaraNa pUjA and ashtOttara of siddhi and buddhi are also included. The karkata nAtha AvaraNa is included as the continuation of the rAshi (mAsa) series. This AvaraNa can be performed along with the amAvAsya pUjA.
For the Tamil readers, MahAvArAhi andAdi (100 poems in the venba grammar. In addition, the first word/syllable/letter of the poem will be from the last word/syllable/letter of the previous poem. The very last poem will end with the word/syllable/letter of the very first poem. Thus, it becomes a great garland of poems). This is penned by Shri. Elandai Ramasami of GuhanandamaNDali. He is a great vArAhi upAsakA and has penned numerous treatises on mahAvArAhi. We are glad to include this important work during this auspiscious vArAhi navarAtri.
We hope that this issue will be a good addition of your spiritual collection.
Lalithai vEdam sarvam. Wishing you all a blissful navarathri.
